Samsung India is planning to launch its Android flip phone Galaxy Golden in the Indian market soon. The company has already imported around 1650 units of the phone in the country, which will soon reach the retail stores. We are expecting official announcement sometime next week.
Originally introduced back in August this year, Samsung Galaxy Golden is currently only available in South Korea (unless the company silently launched in another market). It features dual 3.7-inch AMOLED displays with WVGA resolution, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera, and 1820mAh battery. The phone also comes with FM Radio, Android 4.2 and tradition numeric keypad.
There is no word on the official pricing right now, but according to mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom, the phone is going to be priced at INR 49,990, which seems a little too much of the phone despite the two displays present on it. However, Galaxy Golden being a niche smartphone, don’t expect any attractive pricing.
