Verizon Moto X users should be getting Android 4.4 KitKat update on their phones soon, making it the first non-Nexus device to get Android 4.4 update. There is no confirmation on the update release schedule right now but Motorola has already sending out emails to the testers for the soak-test of this update. If everything goes well with the soak, the update will be made live within days.
As per the emails sent to the testers, the Moto X Android 4.4 update will include enhanced touch-to-focus in camera app, new photo-editing options in gallery, Find my phone command in Touchless control, and Square credit card reader support along with host of KitKat specific changes. You can check out the full change-log below.
