Oppo announces N1 Mini and R3 smartphones


Oppo has unveiled its much-awaited N1 Mini smartphone at a press event in China today. The phone is joined by the mid-range Oppo R3, which succeeds the company’s R1 smartphone.

Talking about Oppo N1 Mini first, the phone sports a 5-inch 1280x720p HD display and is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The phone also packs a 13MP rotating camera, which acts both as a rear camera and a front shooter. In addition, N1 mini comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 2140 mAh battery, 4G LTE support and the usual connectivity options.

The phone will retail for 2699 yuan ($433) when it goes on sale in China next week in White, Blue and Yellow colour options. There is no word on the global roll-out right now.

Coming to Oppo R3, the smartphone like N1 Mini features a 5-inch HD display and 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragons 400 CPU. Other specifications are different, which include 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera2420 mAh battery, 4G LTE support, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

Oppo R3 will go on sale in China later this month for 2299 yuan ($369) and will be available in Black and White colour options.
