E-retail giant Flipkart has begun teasing the arrival of a new Motorola smartphone in the country. Although the e-retailer has not explicitly revealed the name of this smartphone, the teaser includes details like the presence of Ballistic Nylon, which clearly indicate that we are going see the launch of Moto Maxx, also known as Droid Turbo.
Originally unveiled in October last year on US telecom operator Verizon Wireless as Droid Turbo and later introduced as Moto Maxx for the international markets, the smartphone features a 5.2-inch QHD display, 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and 3500 mAh battery. In addition, the phone packs 21MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, 2MP front shooter, 32/ 64GB of internal storage and Android 4.4. The phone is expected to get Android 5.0 in the coming weeks.
In addition, the phone is built using ballistic nylon and Kevlar for enhanced durability and comes with a water-repellent nano-coating to provide resistance against everyday spills.
There is no word on the exact release date or pricing at this point, but we hope to hear from Motorola and Flipkart in the coming days.
