Oppo launches Mirror 3 smartphone in India for INR 16,990

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo on Thursday announced the launch of its Mirror 3 smartphone in the Indian market. It is the same phone, which is known as Oppo 3000 in China and was originally introduced as Oppo Mirror 3 in Vietnam.

According to Oppo, the Mirror 3 will retail for INR 16,990 in the country and will be available in Grey and White colours.

The smartphone sports a 4.7-inch 720p HD IPS display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It also comes with 8MP rear camera with Sony IMX179 sensor and LED flash as well as a 5MP front shooter.

“We are excited to introduce Mirror 3 to our picture-loving Indian customers. It comes with phenomenal camera quality. No matter day or night, the image quality taken from a Mirror 3 smartphone is greatly enhanced as a result of increased CMOS sensitivity, higher resolution, and effective filtering for infrared light. This packed with a host of other features gives the consumer a power packed selfie experience,”said Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India.

Other specifications of the phone include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and dual-SIM connectivity. Oppo Mirror 3 runs on Color OS 2.01-based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

The price-tag is clearly on the upside and the phone will have a hard time getting buyers in the country.
