Lenovo’s new A5000 smartphone reaches Indian market

Continuing the expansion of its A-series, Lenovo has introduced the new A5000 smartphone. The phone was first unveiled in Russia on Wednesday and has now reached the Indian shores.

According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the smartphone is available in physical stores at INR 10,250. We are, however, still waiting for an official announcement.

According to Lenovo’s UAE website, the phone comes with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor. Other specifications of the phone include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and dual-SIM support. On the imaging front, Lenovo has packed 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front shooter in the A5000.

While all of the specs that we have mentioned until now are pretty average, the phone shines on the battery front. It features a 4000 mAh battery, which the company claims can offer upto 17 hours of talktime of 3G.

In terms of the software, the A5000 runs on Android 4.4 and is pre-loaded with the usual Lenovo DOit applications. It can be grabbed in Black and White colour options.
