Micromax has unveiled an affordable 3G smartphone in India, named as the Canvas Spark 2. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 3,999 and is exclusively up for purchase on Snapdeal via flash sale, which will be held on September 30 at 12 PM. The registrations for the flash sale will open on September 23 at 10 AM.
The smartphone comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 768MB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and has 4GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via micros card. In the imaging department, the device sports a 5-megapixel fixed-focus primary camera with LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Canvas Spark 2 supports connectivity features such as dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-F, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and is backed by a 1,800 mAh battery.
It features a lots of pre-loaded apps such as Scandid, Kindle, Hotstar, Clean Master, Firstouch language solution, Swiftkey, Snapdeal, and many more. The Canvas Spark 2 is a successor to the Canvas Spark, which was launched in April with a 4.7-inch qHD display and an 8-megapixel primary camera. Micromax touts the Canvas Spark 2 as India’s most affordable 3G smartphone with Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Commenting on the launch, Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax said,“The Canvas Spark proved to be a huge success for Micromax, selling over half a million units in less than two months of its launch.
