Micromax launches three 4G Canvas smartphones in India, starting at Rs. 6,999

Micromax has unveiled three affordable 4G smartphones, named as the Canvas Blaze 4G (Q400), Canvas Fire 4G, and Canvas Play 4G. The handsets are already listed on the company’s official website along with pricing and availability details. Micromax is bringing out many new devices, the company recently unveiled the Canvas Spark 2 at a price tag of Rs. 3,999.

The Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G features a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels, and is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) chipset paired with 1GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and has 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It supports connectivity options such as dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS. The device is backed by a 2,000 mAh, which is touted to deliver up to 6 hours of talk-time.

In the imaging department, the phone sports a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device has been priced at Rs. 6,999, and given the pricing and specifications, it is set to compete with devices such as Moto E (2nd Gen) and Xiaomi Redmi 2.

The Canvas Fire 4G comes features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels, and is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MTK6735 quad-core processor chipset paired with 1GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and features 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. All the specifications of the Canvas Fire 4G are identical to the Canvas Blaze 4G, except for the battery, which is 1,800 mAh. It is priced at Rs. 6,999.

The Canvas Play 4G, the phone features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and has 16GB of  internal storage onboard. It sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, along with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The device supports connectivity features such as dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and is backed by a 2,820 mAh battery. The phone has been priced at Rs. 12,499.
