Panasonic Eluga A2 launched with 4G-VoLTE support, 4000mAh battery at Rs. 9,490


For those who look for 4G support and a good battery backup for under Rs. 10000, Panasonic Eluga A2 is a considerable choice. Priced at Rs. 9,490, Eluga A2 smartphone features a large 4000mAh battery and voice over LTE (VoLTE) support.

The dual-SIM Panasonic Eluga A2 comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel display) and is powered by a 1GHz quad-core SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s FitHome UI on top. There is a 16GB inbuilt storage for the phone, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

In terms of camera, Eluga A2 boasts of an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It features connectivity options, including 4G LTE support, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and FM radio. Panasonic Eluga A2 will be available in Gold and Silver color variants. As a launch offer, the phone comes with a free protective screen guard of Rs. 399.

HTC 10 goes official in India at Rs. 52,990


HTC finally launched its much-talked about HTC 10 smartphone in India. It comes with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage (32GB variant will also be available) and a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 820 chipset with Adreno 530 GPU. Also, the internal storage will be expandable up to 2TB via microSD card for both the storage variants.

The HTC 10 will be available in Carbon Grey and Topaz Gold color options, at Rs. 52,990. As an inaugural offer, the first 500 buyers will get be getting a free cover with the device. It is all set to go on sale from June 5. Another variant of the flagship, the HTC 10 Lifestyle with Snapdragon 652 and 3GB RAM will also be going on sale on the same, but the company has not revealed the pricing for the device yet.

Coming to the imaging department of the HTC 10, it sports a 12-Ultrapixel primary camera equipped with Laser autofocus, optical image stabilization (OIS), f/1.8 aperture. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera onboard with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The device comes crafted in a metal body, which gives it a premium look. It features a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded in the Home Button. Backing the HTC 10 is a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Like other HTC flagships, this one too features BoomSound speakers along with 24-bit hi-res DAC audio chip for enhanced audio output.

Nextbit Robin: The cloud-first smartphone goes official in India at Rs. 19,999


Nextbit’s cloud-first smartphone, Robin, has been finally made official in India. The main feature of the Nextbit Robin is its unique merge of cloud and internal storage. It backs up the apps, photos, in an orderly manner and restores them whenever as per user needs. To recap, Nextbit is a company formed by ex-Google, ex-HTC, and ex-Android employees, and their first product was Baton, an app that allows cloud syncing of Android apps and app data.

The Nextbit Robin seems like a fresh take on a smartphone design, and it’s quite different from anything we’ve seen before. It comes in an elegant yet attractive design in two fresh colors; Mint and Midnight. The smartphone focusses on synchronization between cloud storage and the phone’s operating system. The device has been priced at Rs. 19,999, and will be up for sale exclusively via Flipkart starting from May 30.

Micromax Canvas Selfie 4 goes official with 8MP front camera

It looks like Micromax has lots going behind the screen with more and more products rushing into the market. The latest that goes official is Micromax Canvas Selfie 4.

The Canvas Selfie 4 features an 8-megapixel rear and front-facing cameras. The smartphone is equipped with a ‘Tap Sensor’ that comes handy for clicking pictures and taking calls. The devices runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and comes a 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB), supports 3G, and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

The pricing for the Canvas Selfie 4 is not revealed by the company, yet. It will be available across the offline channel from the end of May 2016.

Asus launches new ZenFone Max with 5.5 inch HD display, 5000mAh battery


ASUS has launched an advanced version of ZenFone Max smartphone today. Known for its 5,000 mAh of battery, the new ZenFone Max comes with a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720p resolution, with full-screen lamination and ASUS TruVivid technology.

The manufacturer has also integrated Bluelight Filter that will protect the users from strain during prolonged usage. The new device houses an enhanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core processor with a 2GB or 3GB RAM. The internal memory of the phone has now been increased to 32GB and this can be further expanded to 64GB using a microSD card. The smartphone supports 4G LTE technology (FDD-LTE Band B1, B3, B5 and TD-LTE 38/39/40/41) and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ASUS ZenUI on top.

As far as the camera is concerned, the new ZenFone Max has a 13MP, f/2.0-aperture rear camera coupled with the ASUS PixelMaster 2.0 technology and dual-LED flash. The front-camera is 5MP, f/2.0-aperture with 85? wide-viewing angle. There is also Laser Auto Focus technology that helps the users focus on an object in within a time span of 0.03 seconds. Its 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery promises 914.4 hours of standby time/37.5 hours of 3G talk time when fully charged. It also comes with an OTG cable that turns the phone into a charger to power up the users’ other gadgets.

New ZenFone Max is available in Black, Orange and Blue color options. The 2GB RAM variant of this smartphone costs Rs. 9,999 and can be pre-ordered on Flipkart. The 3GB RAM model comes with a price tag of Rs. 12,999 and will be available for sale on Amazon, Snapdeal, and Flipkart. The 3GB RAM variant will also be sold via ASUS Exclusive stores and other physical stores.

Lenovo Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus unveiled with 5.5-inch screens, Snapdragon 617


The much-awaited Moto G4 and G4 Plus have been made official. These two are the first smartphones by “Lenovo Moto”. This time around the display size has grown as the G4 features 5.5-inch 1080p screen, much better than its predecessors Moto G3 and G2. Same goes for the processing power, which is now powered by a higher-end Snapdragon chipset.

Both the variants are better from their last year models in the imaging and storage department as well, but the design does not look appealing enough. The Moto G4 Plus is a top-end variant of the series, similar to the “Turbo” variant of the last year’s Motorola Moto G3.

As expected, both the devices run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But the fingerprint sensor is only available on the G4 Plus. Both the devices will be up for sale in Black and White color options. The 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant of the Moto G4 Plus is priced at Rs. 13,499 while the 3GB RAM/32GB variant will retail at Rs. 14,999. The Moto G4 Plus is set to go on sale exclusively via Amazon, tonight. Lenovo has not yet revealed the pricing for the Moto G4, but it will go on sale in June.

Moto G3, Moto G Turbo Edition, Moto G2 360 smartwatch receive a price cut


Prior to the launch of 4th Gen Moto (Moto G4) today, Motorola has made some attractive discounts its three devices — 3rd Gen Moto G (2015), Moto G Turbo Edition and 2nd Gen Moto 360 smartwatch.

3rd Gen Moto G (2015) and Moto G Turbo Edition receive a price slash of Rs. 1000, bringing their new prices to Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 11,499, respectively. The Moto 360 (2nd Gen) smartwatch has received a price slash of Rs. 1,500. In case, if the customer clubs it with the purchase of a Moto smartphone, he/she can also get additional discount of Rs. 1,000. However, the discount is not applicable on Moto 360 Sport.

On exchanging with another device, the customers can get the 3rd Gen Moto G for Rs. 1,999 and the Moto G Turbo for Rs. 1,499. While this exchange offer is limited to Flipkart, the other price reductions are live on both Amazon and Flipkart.
